From the famous Wafels & Dinges Truck of Manhattan, the "Idioot Proof (just add the air and the water!) De Kompleet Wafel Kit".

Best described on their website, "The Brussels Style was developed by Thomas to have a quick and easy way for the way of making wafel batter for his truck. After many requests from his customers, he put this formula in this red box. So Brussels-wafel-lovers can make the real ones (light-crispy!) at the home. The mix is made "Kompleet" and therefore "idioot-proof". So there is no need for eggs, milk or butter. Every important ingredient is in the box; just add water, air and...voila!"

Further instructions from the master. "We have found that our mix works best with irons you can "flip". It will work with regular irons as well, but the fullest waffels you can get if you flip (not you, the iron). Spray a little Pam, or even better, brush the iron with a little butter for better wafeling".

From the box itself. " In Belgium we have two kinds of people and two kinds of wafels. The Flemish make the Brussels wafels and the Walloons make the Liege wafels. They are both very delicious wafels but they both do not fit into this box. So, here, we will be making just the Brussels style only. It is the light and the crispy one. We make the Liege wafels later, ok?"
